Get to know the artist, Brandon Perl
Brandon received his B.S. from Illinois State University in Glass Blowing and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Art Education from DePaul University. Brandon’s work predominantly falls in the two-dimensional media of painting, drawing, collage, decoupage, and graphic design.
By focusing on rhythmic linework, layering, and color, He creates compositions inspired by his love of music, entertainment, and life experiences. Brandon’s process draws from the subconscious mind, as well as the intelligence gained from past adventures and the unknown.
Perl describes his style as “visual vibration”. Using ink, colored pencil, paint and a variety of other media Brandon’s designs express a unique grittiness, coupled with smooth symphonic linework and extensive knowledge of color theory.

Boxhead represents the creative tension inside all of us. The constant, undying give and take between creator and medium. He represents mischievous creativity. He lives in the flow state. He exists in the world, but is constantly chomping at the bit to crawl back into the dimension where he can build his own imagined reality.
